ENRIQUE MELCHOR INTERVIEW

Through an amazing chain of events that only God could orchestrate, Cuban Worship Leader Enrique Melchor made his way to the United States this week to New Earth Studios where he and close friend John Northrup sat down with Tom Brooks to pray, fellowship, and talk about God’s Vision for the people of Cuba.

Enrique is Worship Pastor at the “Manantial de Amor” (Spring of Love) church in Havana, Cuba. The church belongs to the “Buenas Nuevas” (Good News) association of churches in Cuba.

The Concerts also featured Abe & Tom and a great Band of gifted Miami musicians including David Cabrera, Hector “Pocho” Neciosup, Pedro Navarro, Gaby Vivas, Dan Davis, and Ed Maina.

The Band presented powerful ministry Concerts with Paul Wilbur, Julissa, Miguel Angel Guerra, and many more great Artists! Abe Laboriel & Friends; Vinnie Colaiuta on Drums, Paul Jackson jr on Guitar, and Tom Brooks on Keyboards took off for Europe this summer on a Tour full of surprises, great music, and incredible Spiritual impact. Although the Concerts were organized by Believers, each performance took place in a public secular setting... in theatres, universities, and jazz festivals. As always with Abraham, regardless of the setting, the Spirit of Christ was at the center of every moment.

In Rome over 2,000 musicians came out for a workshop expecting to learn the latest techniques and "hot licks", but instead received powerful Christian testimonies from the Band. Pre-Concert interviews were written up in Italian newspapers and music magazines, as well as a new national television program called, "Music in the Air". The Concerts, called "Music from Heaven", drew thousands to the Palifalsa Theatre outside Rome.

In Zurich Switzerland Vinnie surprised everyone when he went to the front of the stage in the middle of the Concert and told the compelling story of his last trip to Zurich - when he met Christ for the first time. Even in this secular setting, the Spirit of God was tangible and powerful. The following day a music critic for the national newspaper (obviously a non-believer) praised the music, but complained about "being preached at during the Concert". However as part of lodging his complaint, he proceeded to tell his readers about Vinnie's testimony, and thus spread the word about his conversion to Christ to all of Switzerland!

After recording sessions in Switzerland, the Band flew to Riga, Latvia; the capital city of the former Soviet Republic. Headlining their National Jazz Festival, called "Ritmas Riga", the Band had another powerful night of spontaneous musical and Spiritual expression with Carl Albrecht stepping in on drums. After playing every song on the set list, and the crowd still calling for more, Paul suggested to improvise a blues-rock version of the old hymn, "On Christ the Solid Rock"; which turned out to be amazing!

The "AMERICAN WORSHIP GATHERING" Touches the Nation
As thousands of worshipers gathered at the base of the historic Washington Monument in our nation's capital, John Tesh invited the entire country to join in singing "HEART OF WORSHIP". Broadcast on over 165 radio stations nation-wide, the "AMERICAN WORSHIP GATHERING" brought all of America together to pray, to worship, and to celebrate our Faith in God.
Joining Producers Tom Brooks and Abraham Laboriel, an incredible group of Christian Artists, Musicians, Pastors, and National Heroes shared the stage for six hours!

+Pastors Rick Warren, Louie Giglio, and Brett Fuller focused the people on God's Purpose for our Lives.
+Jeff Deyo and 'Out of Eden' had the crowd dancing and Praising Jesus.
+Powerful Praise & Worship from Don Moen, Tommy Walker, Cindy Diane, Bob Fitts, and Lenny LeBlanc drew the entire gathering into God's Presence.

Special Guests included...
*Captain John Lamme, a true "American Hero" who pulled his comrades from the burning Pentagon on 9/11.
*Miss Virginia, USA Julie Laippley; also a Pentagon survivor and a strong witness for the Cause of Christ.
*Darrel Green and his teammates from the Washington Redskins inspired young athletes in the crowd to serve God with all their hearts.

• Great Praise Music filled the day! Tom & Abraham were joined by long-time friends Justo Almario, Sheila E., Paul Jackson on guitar, and Carl Albrecht on Drums.
• The "All-American Praise Choir" and the "All-American Kids Choir" filled the Washington Monument frounds with God's Presence.
• Even Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber showed up from the VeggieTales!

> The incredible story of Missionary Steve Saint, who returned to Ecuador to minister to the savages that murdered his Father, eventually leading the entire tribe to Christ!
